Actos for diabetes patients
Actos is a drug manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals which is used to minimise the resistance in our body to insulin. When a patient suffers from diabetes of type 2 then insulin cannot be projected in a normal method. Type 2 diabetes is identified when a body does not produce enough insulin or the insulin cannot be used to control sugar levels. The working principle behind this medicine is it increases the feeling of insulin in our body. This in turn allows insulin to work in a normal fashion to control the level of blood sugar. An important thing to be noted is this medicine just controls and not cures the diabetes of type 2. This medicine alone can be taken or with the other medicines that are used to control diabetes. The actos recall states that patients suffering from bladder cancer should not take actos recall drug. Some of the countries stopped using actos because of the risk factor bladder cancer. On a study from 2006 to 2009 it was found that there was 22 percent increase in the bladder cancer after taking Actos. The cancer from actos is a serious threat which lowered the sales of Actos medicine. When Actos is taken in high dosage the chances for cancer are more.
